Alyssa Mastromonaco (Policy Studies/1976-) worked with President Obama from 2005-2014, serving as his Director of Scheduling and later the White House Deputy Chief of Staff. She was the youngest woman to ever serve in that position. She is currently the President of Global Communications Strategy & Talent at the A&E network. In 2017, Mastromonaco published her first book Who Thought This Was a Good Idea?: And Other Questions You Should Have Answers to When You Work in the White House, a memoir of her time with the Obama administration.
