Kanye West

Kanye West (1977-) is one of the most widely successful artists and fascinating public figures of the 21st century. Kanye started his career as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records in the early 2000s, producing singles for artists such as Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. In 2004 West released his debut album The College Dropout and was met with widespread success. Since 2004, West has released five full studio albums and been featured on numerous tracks; his most popular songs include “Jesus Walks,” “Stronger,” and “Heartless.” West is one of the most accomplished musicians of the 21st century with 32 million albums sold, 100 million digital downloads, and 21 Grammy Awards. West has left a mark on popular culture not only with his music but also with his philanthropy, politics, controversies, and fashion.
